The APF Philosophy
"My time as a Military Working Dog (MWD) handler taught me that clear communication, consistency, and a calm presence are the foundations of a reliable dog."
Hello! I’m Mark, a dedicated dog trainer with over five years of experience helping dogs and their owners build harmonious relationships. My journey into the world of dog training began when I faced challenges with my own dog, who struggled with aggression. This experience ignited my passion for understanding canine behaviour and inspired me to assist others facing similar challenges.
I’ve invested my time in comprehensive training, including specialised courses and mentorship programs, alongside thousands of hours of hands-on experience. My work encompasses not only pet dogs but also military dogs, where I’ve honed my skills as a dog handler.
My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, utilising a balanced training philosophy that incorporates both positive reinforcement and effective corrections. This method fosters trust and communication between dogs and their owners, ensuring a well-rounded training experience. Whether you’re dealing with behavioural issues or simply want to enhance your dog’s skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Client Success Stories
"Best walk ever today. Our little man did good, not as good as with you, but when I stopped he waited then repositioned himself then off we went. No lunging!"

"Disco is really getting into the swing of walking on the new lead. We even walked past a dog on the same side of the road with no reaction, unheard of! I'm feeling more confident now."

"First visit to a cafe, cat lingering around the tables near us, lots of people he was wanting to say hello to but he smashed it... even had a sausage to top it off!"
